Soprano Catherine Redding and pianist Yonit Kosovske perform Lili Boulanger’s song cycle Clairières dans le ciel (Clearings in the Sky). The thirteen texts are drawn from Tristesses (Sorrows), a collection of twenty-four poems written by Francis Jammes (1868–1938). The songs are filled with symbolism, nostalgia, hope, and intense longing for love.
